Boston Police investigating officer-involved shooting of naked man in Beacon Hill
Police are inspecting an officer-involved shooting sparked by calls of a naked man with a knife who allegedly broke into a Beacon Hill business Officers responded to reports of a breaking-and-entering on Mount Vernon Street the address of the Beacon Hill restaurant around a m There they encountered a naked man armed with a large knife in a rear alley BPD Superintendent Paul McLaughlin noted this morning McLaughlin added that three officers responded to the scene with an officer attempting to use a department-issued Taser to subdue the man striking the suspect to no avail Officers then discharged their department-issued firearms multiple times striking the individual McLaughlin disclosed He was directly given first aid by the officers on scene and directly transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries All three officers were also taken to a hospital for evaluation McLaughlin explained it was too early to know how a multitude of shots were fired Growing
