OAKLAND A man and woman have been charged with being part of a robbery crew that lured cannabis delivery drivers into thinking they were fulfilling legitimate orders only to rob them at gunpoint upon arrive court records show Jordan Cook and her boyfriend Larue Henderson were charged with conspiracy and robbery in federal court The criminal complaint against them describes six similar armed robberies of cannabis delivery drivers this year all in Berkeley Hayward or San Leandro The modus operandi involved defendants using apps to place orders from cannabis dispensaries then a gunman would carjack the drivers taking their truck and the cannabis products within according to the complaint Cook has been published from custody Henderson is due for a detention hearing next week court records show Prosecutors say that when the couple s Alameda apartment was searched back in May agents identified worth of commercially packaged marijuana products and a gun in Cook s possession that had been used in a March nonfatal shooting of an attempted carjacking victim The biggest haul from any of the robberies was approximately in cannabis according to the complaint Cook and Henderson who are accused of conspiring with at least one other unnamed person allegedly advertised marijuana for sale online around the time of a few of the robberies In one March event that was typical of the pattern a delivery driver was ordered out of the car at gunpoint in San Leandro and the robber drove off in the delivery car according to the complaint
