Antelope man sentenced for trafficking 13-year-old girl from LA to Oakland

OAKLAND A Sacramento County man has agreed to be sentenced to eight years in prison greater part of which he has already served for trafficking a -year-old girl he encountered in Los Angeles court records show Dae Jon Burrise of Antelope pleaded no contest to human trafficking of a minor As part of his plea deal with Alameda County prosecutors Burrise is scheduled to be distributed at his Jan sentencing date court records show Burrise must also register as a sex offender for life and has been given a -year stay away order from his victim court records show His co-defendant -year-old Dynasty James pleaded no contest to accessory and was sentenced to felony probation Prosecutors say that in Burrise and James met the victim in the Los Angeles area and that James initially encouraged her to meet James pimp Burrise They eventually brought her to Oakland where the two were arrested and charged The girl known as Jane Doe in court filings reported police Burrise gave her condoms bought her a see through dress and took her proceeds including one night where she brought him While Jane Doe testified that defendant did not say what would happen if she hid money she described the detective that Burrise explained she better not hide any money or else it was going to be bad prosecutors wrote in court filings Court filings by the defense praise Burrise s remarkable absence of criminal history and included patronage letters from friends and family highlighting his involvement in an Antelope-based church James was published from jail in court records show
